Newt Gingrich can’t hold his own with an informed voter

This tense handshake/conversation between an Iowa voter and Newt shows that he is not only out of step with actually informed voters, but that he has been off the grid for so long that he’s forgotten that cameras are everywhere and these little off-the-cuff interviews will spread wide and far:

TRANSCRIPT:

IOWAN: What you just did to Paul Ryan is unforgivable.

GINGRICH: I didn’t do anything to Paul Ryan.

IOWAN: Yes, you did. You undercut him…. you’re an embarrassment to our party.

GINGRICH: I’m sorry you feel that way.

IOWAN: Why don’t you get out before you make a bigger fool of yourself?

The republican media and talk radio has essentially turned their back on Gingrich over the Paul Ryan flap. That can’t be good for his prospects.

  1. He should drop out, it’s really just a sad embarrassing for the GOP that he’s running. for the GOP that he’s running.
