One of the more sobering historical film clips that I actually remember both in theme and substance from my post WW II childhood. The age old issue is the simple eternal dichotomy eros vs thanos, inclusion vs exclusion, maybe even light vs darkness. Thanks for offering it again at this crucial time in our American experiment with Democracy. I found “Hammer of Truth” while researching the frantic hatred and xenophobia being expressed around the US toward the Muslim Community under cover of opposition to the Ground Zero Mosque. This movement is simply a straw man created by the same type of political forces seen in the film clip. The motivation for this frenzied faux outrage is purely to create another wedge issue which has nothing to do with the construction of a building near the site of the 9/11 attacks in NY City which, by the way, is neither a mosque nor at Ground Zero. It’s interesting to me that all that this malevolent mind set had to do was substitute Arab Muslims for the original Jewish Europeans and they could still, almost eighty years later, have their convenient Anti-Semitic scapegoat campaign all ready to roll out again.

  2. I’m listening carefully, but no one is talking about the takeover of Islam by Saudia Arabia and its hard-line Wahabbi offshoot. They’re the Southern Baptists of Islam, spending massive amounts of oil money on building and staffing mosques and madrassa schools where hatred is taught. Try googling “wahhabi madrassa”:

    http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/saudi/analyses/madrassas.html

“”Those interpretations of Islam are being propagated out of schools that receive organizational and financial funding from Saudi Arabia. In fact, I would push it further: that these schools would not have existed without Saudi funding. They would not have proliferated across Pakistan and India and Afghanistan without Saudi funding. They would not have had the kind of prowess that they have without Saudi funding, and they would not have trained as many people without Saudi funding.”

    1. Well the way to fight hatred isn’t throwing more hatred on the fire, I’m certain of this. The way to win is to show that liberty and tolerance is our guiding light and the reason for our society’s happiness and success.

If you have an issue with how Saudi Arabia and Pakistan spends money, then protest all the billions in aid that the U.S. government send them and others without our consent. Wrapping your head around the issue means knowing that the media and ruling class in America is whipping up hate, not rational discourse.

  3. “IT” DID HAPPEN!!

When I was a kid, I couldn’t understand why Eisenhower was so popular.
Maybe this will explain why. General Eisenhower Warned Us

It is a matter of history that when the Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces, General Dwight Eisenhower, found the victims of the death camps he ordered all possible photographs to be taken, and for the German people from surrounding villages to be ushered through the camps and even made to bury the dead.

He did this because he said in words to this effect:

‘Get it all on record now – get the films – get the witnesses -because somewhere down the road of history some bastard will get up and say that this never happened’

This week, the UK debated whether to remove The Holocaust from its school curriculum because it “offends” the Muslim population which claims that it never occurred. It is not removed as yet.. However, this is a frightening portent of the fear that is gripping the world and how easily each country is giving into it.

It is now more than 65 years after the Second World War in Europe ended. This is a memorial in memory of the 6 million Jews, 20 million Russians, 10 million Christians, and 1,900 Catholic priests and nuns who were ‘murdered, raped, burned, starved, beaten,
experimented on and humiliated’ while the German people looked the other way!

Now, more than ever, with Iran, among others, claiming the Holocaust to be “a myth,” it is imperative to make sure the world never forgets. This is intended to reach 400 million people! So be a link in the memorial chain and help distribute this around the world.

Now consider: How many years will it be before the attack on the World Trade Center
‘NEVER HAPPENED’, because it offends some Muslims in the U.S.

Remember: FREEDOM ISN’T FREE…SOMEONE HAD TO PAY FOR IT

    1. Who the fuck is saying 9/11 didn’t happen? No one is trying to rewrite history here. Get a grip on yourself.

No one in the liberty movement should be afraid of muslims. Be wary of people trying to whip up fear and division amongst people.

  4. This is great. I financially support him (first time ever any politician ) and later regretted it. I don’t regret it any longer.

  5. I wouldn’t say the liberty movement has NOTHING to fear from Islam. Sharia is just about as un-libertarian as you can get this side of gassin’ Jews. And a lot of Muslims living in the West, especially the younger ones, hold to some incredibly regressive views. About a third of young British Muslims think that apostates from Islam should be killed, just to cite one poll I recall. If Islam ever becomes a major religion here in America without first submitting to the Enlightenment in the way Christianity and Judaism did, it is going to be the biggest obstacle to liberty we have ever known-bigger than Democrats, Republicans, Christians, socialists, whatever current boogeyman you can dream up.

That said, the answer isn’t hate or bigotry but more liberty. Let them build Cordoba House. Let them enjoy the same liberties any other religion does in America. But stop them when they demonstrate their oppressive tendencies-jail for life any honor killers, ensure that Muslim women are aware of their rights and don’t live under the oppression of their husbands, imprison any parents that try to enforce arranged marriages on their children, and jail the ever-loving shit out of anyone that’ll blow up Times Square because we drew cartoons of Muhammad.

    1. Anyone points a gun on me, I shoot back. Religious or even socio-political background is irrelevant, because we know fanatics of all religious/political types still exist.

You don’t go checking ID on enemies of liberty. Hold individuals accountable, not entire religions or ethnicity. What Ron Paul is saying is that this FEAR of SOME SCARY GROUP FAR AWAY is what’s causing us to knee-jerk on the whole Middle East. The propaganda is that we can have absolute security (which is impossible) if we would just give up the liberties of those people over there, and now our securities over here.

I just think there’s an appeal to the rational side of the protesters here, or at least direct them to the real enemy of liberty: Obama and the whole crony group of republicrat scum.
