I dare not turn on the TV on an election day…

PROTIP UPDATE: A handy chart of times to start watching the poll returns…

LATER UPDATE: NYT has hour by hour updates and a nice clean results page per state… GO Ohio, ditch Ted and CA Prop19 (everyone else, find your own).

UPDATE: I would be remiss not to tell you about TPM’s simple election results/map page (I’m looking intently at their subdomain wizardry).

I have a feeling the usual crew of egomaniacs are falling over themselves trying to act like they can read the tea leaves before the first cup has been poured, and commercials pitching opponents as Satan incarnate are burning final campaign dollars. No, I’ll be a patient citizen and wait around on the internet until I actually see some honest ballot counting before I will trust what anyone out in the ether declares the “the will of the people” is.

Here’s a big image that’s based on polls which have god knows what kind of methods (kidding, it seems legit). I’m assuming if the fix is in anywhere, they have either gotten good enough that it’s hidden in as an expected outcome in these polls months in advance or we’ll see the anomalies in voting machines.

Am I missing anything, or am I lacking the shiny rotating screen graphics and news scroll to properly grab everyone’s attention?
