What could possibly follow “I am not a crook” and “I did not inhale”?

For those of you who don’t follow the news, this is from one of many recent related articles:

President Bush says no matter what you may think, he has the right to let the government listen in on conversations Americans have with people suspected of being involved in terrorist activities.

“If somebody from al-Qaeda is calling you, we’d like to know why,” he told reporters Monday. “We’re at war with a bunch of cold-blooded killers.”

Bush said his actions were lawful and did not equate to eavesdropping, adding that the move was vital in stopping terrorist attacks. The president told reporters that the NSA program is one that “listens to a few numbers.”

I guess I’m faced with having faith in either Bush or Russmo. I’m soooo confused about which party to believe.
