UPDATE: Russo just e-mailed and clarified a bit more about the film:
The film is a positive/truthful documentary that explores the IRS and whether or not there is any law that requires an individual to file a 1040 or whether it is a fraud being perpetrated by the gov’t.
It also goes into great detail about the federal reserve and the loss of freedoms in America.
I’ve been in communication with Aaron Russo a lot over the last few weeks about his new film which documents some cases of IRS abuse. I was not going to announce the first airing of the show quite yet (as we are trying to make arrangements for a second showing in the same general area on the same weekend). The message has now hit some e-mail lists, so I’ll pass it on:
Feature Film About IRS Coming
“America…from Freedom to Facism [sic]”
Aaron Russo, the accomplished Hollywood producer and director has just completed “America … from Freedom to Facism [sic],” a feature film about the IRS, the Federal Reserve and the New World Order.
Russo’s films, which include “Trading Places” (starring Eddie Murphy) and “The Rose” (starring Bette Midler), have received six academy award nominations. Russo has personally won both an Emmy and a Tony award and his films have also won a number of Golden Globe awards.
Mr. Russo, as writer, director and producer, is entering “America…” in the May 2006 Cannes Film Festival.
Not unlike the showing of Mel Gibson’s film “The Passion” to congregations across America in advance of its formal release, Russo has offered to present his new film in advance of its premier showing in Cannes, to the congregations of patriots assembled at the upcoming WTP regional conferences.
The 95-minute film, “America… from Freedom to Facism [sic],” will be shown in its entirety at the Tucson WTP meeting on Saturday, January 28th. The meeting is free and open to the public.
Saturday January 28, 1 PM – 5 PM
6477 E. Speedway Blvd.
From Tucson International Airport (13 miles NE): North on Tucson Blvd. East (right turn) on Valencia Rd. North (left turn) on Kolb Rd. West (left turn) on Speedway to hotel address.
I haven’t seen the film yet, but assisted with some of the field production and am very excited about its release.
Hopefully, we will be able to play the film in Phoenix at the Libertarian State Chairs’ Conference, which will be held on the same weekend. Unfortunately, there are scheduling problems, and this is becoming difficult to arrange. I’ll provide any updates as I have them. Thanks to Rick for the tip.
