New poll numbers for Bush impeachment

It seems that 86% of voters think Bush should be impeached. Admittedly this isn’t a scientific poll, but nonetheless there is likely to be a nearly-random cross-section of American society on a major unbiased news site. As the last poll figures, back in January, said only 52% of Americans wanted to impeach Bush… perhaps it’s time to re-poll this question?

  1. Why should we impeach Pres. Bush:

    1. Bush launched the Iraq war, not recognizing this was a formul for chaos a 3 ethnic groups who have hated each other for a millenia. The war has unleashed what one might analogize as a 3 way version of the Palestinian-Israeli problem, a 50 year old problem. It justifies hatred against us in the Muslim world. who are reminded of the Christian crusades of the middle ages when up toward 50 million died “in the name of God”. The WMD story was not only wrong, but apparently fabricated with leakss from the Administration to the NY Times, and Bush used these stories to justify the war. In addition, Bush used his bully pulpit to encourage religious hatred against gay people while he claims to fight hatred abroad. And of course, with the focus off Afghanistan, Osama is still free, and Pakistan is only one bullet from disaster. Enough said? How minor were Nixon’s crimes by comparison. My new license plates say IMPEACH.

  2. I don’t find the 86% number even remotely beleivable. For one thing, somewhere between 20 and 33 percent would throw their own children off of the Golden Gate bridge with an “I love you Johnny,” if Bush told them to. If Bush ran on a platform of nuking their own city to get at terrorists, they would pull the lever so hard, they would break their backs and express sorrow that it just had to be done. I am not exaggerating either. I really beleive this to be the case, based on my own observation and understanding.

  3. no doubt Zogby, Rasmussen, and cronies won’t go anywhere
near this issue again until after November.

    What a coverup.
We know that website polling is highly skewed Libertarian,
but even knowing that doesn’t address the numbers out in
the country. There are a lot of disillusioned families
out there with caskets and wheelchairs being their reward
    for supporting the shrubbery.

  4. They aren’t disillusioned any more now than they were then. Hell, now they have a bonafide reason to be all for it. Cognitive dissonance must be avoided at all costs! They mustn’t now turn their backs on Bush now or else their child died for nothing!

  5. This just in:

    A Libertarian Party Congressional Candidate
joins the grassroots move to Impeach.

    The non-partisan site
is posting a growing list of congressional candidates
    publicly favoring impeachment.

Out of 17 candidates who responded positively
    and the basis link)

    One Libertarian candidate has satisfied
    the criteria to be listed.
(The criteria are based on adherence to constitutional principle, coherence, etc.
and have nothing to do with party affiliation.)

I won’t spoil the surprise here,
go look for yourself and see who made the grade.

  6. I’m sure most online polls would be skewed pretty heavily anti-Bush. Ya know, what with the internet being a tool of Satan and Darwin and all…

  7. I say ‘put a good candidate in Congress in 2006, and put this administration and their oil cronies out of business, in 2007’. That sure is easy to say, but it’s going to be devilish to do, and the devil’s in the details. We live and die by an oil-based economy. Think of the Digital Age, with no plastic(oil product), homes with no insulation(oil product), no plastic wrap(oil product) to keep food free of creeping crud, no fuel(oil product) to get the truck with your lunch to market, no plastic packaging(oil product) to hold your lunch, we literally live and die by the oil coming into our market daily. The arabs know this.
The oil companies know this. You use soda bottles, tires, CD’s, 2/3 of the stuff if not more in your home is in some kind of plastic container, appliances, clothing, oiloiloiloiloil….etc. Weaning the country off of all this is going to be a BEAR. Carter got booed down for conservation. Welcome to The United States Of Exxon-Burton, LLC, an ArabCo subsidiary……….
