It Wasn’t Our Hammer…

… but perhaps it’s not such a bad idea. Here’s the report:

U.S. Rep. Patrick Kennedy (news, bio, voting record) was hit in the face with a hammer when an entrepreneur, demonstrating shock absorption, accidentally sent the hammer’s head flying at Kennedy’s mouth.

Kennedy received six stitches in his bottom lip after the incident Wednesday during an economic development meeting, his spokeswoman Robin Costello said.

and Wonkette adds more:

Apparently the hammer was quite incensed to meet Rep. Patrick Kennedy, the Rhode Island Democrat who famously quipped, “I have never worked a fucking day in my life.”The hammer “which had worked many days over the course of its life” therefore struck Kennedy in his big fat mouth.

“Kennedy deserved to get slugged in the kisser,” said the hammer after the incident. “I wasn’t going to give him a free pass just because we’re both tools.”

I swear to God no one at the Hammer of Truth had nothing to do with this. :)

Finally, Tom DeLay says something I can agree with.
