Betting Six Months on Iraq (Over and Over and…)

Rad geek pretty much bitchslapped the crap out of NYT editorialist Thomas L. Friedman, where his 6-month hedging bet has been regurgitated almost endlessly past three years (via Hit & Run):

Well, I think that we’re going to find out, Chris, in the next year to six months””probably sooner””whether a decent outcome is possible there, and I think we’re going to have to just let this play out.
–Thomas L. Friedman, Hardball, MSNBC (May 11, 2006)

The next six months in Iraq””which will determine the prospects for democracy-building there””are the most important six months in U.S. foreign policy in a long, long time.
–Thomas L. Friedman, New York Times (November 30, 2003)

Fool me once shame on you… how ashamed can you be after being fooled 12 times (and counting)?

I've published HoT along with about 300+ friends since 2002. We're all Americans who are snarky and love our country. I'm a libertarian that registered Republican because I like to win elections. That's pretty much it.
