Ann Coulter Guilty of a Felony???

Perhaps she is, according to folks in Palm Beach County. This article states that she committed “a third-degree felony to vote knowingly in the wrong precinct. Lying on a voter’s registration can cost up to $5,000 and five years behind bars.”

A fave on the college speaking circuit and the occasional target of cream-pies-to-the-face, Coulter registered as a Republican (no kidding!) with the supervisor’s office June 24. That’s three months after she bought the home and moved to Palm Beach from Manhattan.

Here’s the sticky part for The Right’s Lady Macbeth: She wrote down an Indian Road address instead of Seabreeze on her voter’s registration application. And she signed to certify the information as true.

“She never lived here,” said Suzanne Frisbie, owner of the Indian Road home. “I’m Ann’s Realtor, and she used this address to forward mail when she moved from New York.”

If she wasn’t in the obviously pro-GOP land of hanging chads and the Rush Limbaugh defense against hypocrisy, Coulter might end up being part of the prison love crew pictured above.

I like tasteful cigars, private property, American whiskey, fast cars, hot women, pre-bailout Jeeps, fine dining, worthwhile literature, low taxes, original music, personal privacy and self-defense rights -- but not necessarily in this order.

  1. The woman does an effective job at pissing everyone off. She is not by any means a “christian republican,” she’s a right wing radical statist who called, on tv, for the death of supreme court justices.

If she were a comedian, she’d be hilarious.

  2. I know Coulter likes Bush. It would be funny to see her getting a hairier and stankier form of bush.

  3. Hmmmmm….I wonder which is more serious, the death threat or putting down a forwarding address rather than the actual physical one? I guess the state thinks the latter…

  4. Correction: hanging chads were a specialty of Broward County (Fort Lauderdale). Palm Beach County specialized in butterfly ballots.

BTW, this also means that New York can charge her with tax evasion, for fraudulently changing her domicile to Florida, and avoiding whatever income taxes New York levies.

  5. Nor, come to think of it, is Palm Beach dominated by the GOP. It’s a mainly Democratic county, which is why Gore went trolling for votes there in the first place. It’s the northern two thirds of the state that have saddled us with Jeb! and a Republican legislature.

  6. We weren’t exactly liberated under Lawton Chiles.

And yes, it was the plethora of Democratic morons in Palm Beach County who couldn’t follow a damned arrow to their candidate’s name on a ballot approved by their Democratic Electio’s Supervisor who claimed it was all the fault of the GOP.

FTR, aside from some gun-rights leanings, Jeb is useless.

  7. What do I know of Palm Beach County? Mostly just the PGA National Resort and the Shula’s Restuarant located therein. Sorry for the booboo.

  8. If you ever decide to eat at any of Shula’s Steak Houses, be sure to bring your American Express Centurion Card with a zero balance.

  9. I actually took my wife to Shula’s in Birmingham for Valentine’s Day. Set me back a few hundred, too. The most expensive hooker in town probably could have been negotiated for less.

One of my local talk show host friends just proposed that Valentine’s Day only be celebrated once every four years, like presidential elections and leap years. Maybe he is on to something.

  10. you morons. so…she’s supposed to publish her REAL address? Grow up you idiots. She has a right to express her opinion and any REAL liberal would agree that this country was founded on the right of expression. If you don’t like it then PLEASE LEAVE. I like democracy, okay? If I was a public figure then YES I GUESS I WOULD DO SUCH A THING SO AS TO THROW OFF ANY UNWANTED ATTENTION. IT’S CALLED CELEBRITY.

  11. And besides, you think she would knowingly go so far as to evade paying taxes and face possible prosecution? Get real folks.
