An Update on Tim West’s Medical Condition

As many of you are aware, Libertarian blogger Tim West is suffering from a brain tumor. His condition is improving and he left his first blog posting over at Liberty For Sale. From his posting (intentionally left unedited):

hi every one! :D yes it is me in the flesh…I stole a moment on the way back from the cancer treatment center to come home for a minute and say thank you to all of you for your emails and letters Gloria made sure i saw most of them in the hospital. i will not be “officially” home for another 2 to 4 weeks as my left side is still weak. I can walk with the aid of the cane but I am very unsteady. My left side feels like it has a bad case of falling asleep 24/7, a most unpleasurable feeling. think pins and needles on your whole left side and you will get the gist of it.

I see that Gloria has done wonderful work on keeping you guys up to date on me so I wont go into the medical stuff too much. I also don’t want LFS to turn into Tim’s Cancer Blog. But I am out of the loop now, and my condition is the only thing going in my life now. so it is what I have to report. I trust you understand.

They are going to start my radiation soon and it looks like there is no way I will be able to make it to Portland both because of my weak left side, the fact I cant walk very far, and I don’t want to get sick 3000 miles from home and my doctors. I may be able to do some more work for the PlatForm Committee after I get home. I will leave that open for now.

I want to urge everyone that believes as I do that the LP can become a center player in politics for real in this country to go to Portland and help…

That testimonial just shamed my wife and me. We are looking at ticket prices to the LP Convention even as I type.

Also, we wish you the best of luck in defeating your tumor, Tim!
