Something that Applies to Both Parties

Quote of the day from Political Wire:

“I believe this is the most corrupt Congress in the history of this country.”

— Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid,
in an excellent interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Reid is a Democrat, but I have to wonder if his lack of finger-pointing at a specific party isn’t a slip of the tongue on his part.

Update: Takes one to know one? Harry Reid is no stranger to corruption (thanks Dave!).

  1. After visiting that site on Reid, I decided to check their sources.

A mainstay for them was “Electric Nevada”. Well, turns out this “Harry Flaps” website is actually owned and by them. Other than that the site itself has quite a few dubious claims.

Here are some samples from the site. Decide for yourself:

“Harry Reid’s lust for power is now beyond any shame. It has now led him to embrace Hitler’s ‘Big Lie’ technique” (refering to Reid’s claim the White House manipulated intel)

    and

“Among the many distortions, misrepresentations, and outright falsifications that have emerged from the debate over Iraq, one in particular stands out above all others. This is the charge that George W. Bush misled us into an immoral and/or unnecessary war in Iraq by telling a series of lies that have now been definitively exposed.”

    and this gem:

“‘Scooter’ Libby indictment now shown to have been the product of prosecutoral misconduct!”

People are free to decide for themselves, of course…
