The WorldNetDaily recently reported:
While book-signings for political figures like Bill and Hillary Clinton, Ann Coulter or Sean Hannity often feature long lines and people waiting for hours, the scene at Cindy Sheehan’s book-signing yesterday near President Bush’s Crawford, Texas, ranch was a much more lonely affair.
but here is the latest update from the AP about Coulter (on her home turf, no less):
Conservative columnist Ann Coulter gave up trying to finish a speech at the University of Connecticut on Wednesday night when boos and jeers from the audience became overwhelming. Coulter cut off the talk after 15 minutes and instead held a half-hour question-and-answer session.
“I love to engage in repartee with people who are stupider than I am,” Coulter told the 2,600 people at Jorgensen Auditorium.
Even Libertarians. One need not wonder why.
Exiled marijuana activist Steve Kubby has a sort of new blog. If you’re not familiar with Kubby, simply check out his 1999 Pollie Award winning — it is still awesome. The blog has been around a few months, but I missed it somehow. It’s not a political blog, but one on skiing and medical marijuana:
This blog will document my attempt to ski 2 million vertical feet — and survive to tell about it. Reaching 2 million vertical will be a tremendous challenge that is the equivalent of a ski descent of Mt. Everest, everyday, for 100 days.
It also has some important background on Kubby and medical marijuana:
The bad news is that I have been diagnosed with terminal cancer and told I have as little as six months to live.
The good news is that this is the 30th year that my doctors have been telling me this. My adrenal cancer is considered one of the most deadly forms known, yet I continue to live a happy and healthy life, thanks to the only medicine I use, cannabis.
As leftists, we reject the sexism and racism that saturates contemporary mass-marketed pornography. As leftists, we reject the capitalist commodification of one of the most basic aspects of our humanity. As leftists, we reject corporate domination of media and culture. Anti-pornography feminists are not asking the left to accept a new way of looking at the world but instead are arguing for consistency in analysis and application of principles.
The last time I checked, the First Amendment was still in the official version of the Bill of Rights. Most of America wants no interference from either the left or the right in its obsession with (warning: porn link ahead) the Milton Twins.
Marion “Bitch Set Me Up” Barry on hookahs:
During Tuesday’s discussion on smoke-free legislation, the subject of the water pipe – a popular way to smoke tobacco in the Middle East and India – came up, and most council members had no idea what it was.
Council Member Marion Barry, D-Ward 8, said he had never heard of the device.
“What do you smoke in them?” said Barry, drawing a huge laugh.
It was a joke then. It is still a joke today. Let get beyond the bipartisan hype and end this stupid War on Drugs.
