Senate told Porn as Addictive as Heroin

Computers and drugs go well togetherA group of researchers called on the Senate to fund more studies on “porn addiction” and compared it to being as addictive to heroin or crack cocaine (via BoingBoing). James B. Weaver, a Virginia Tech professor who studies the impact of pornography, pointed to studies that show prolonged use of pornography leads to “sexual callousness, the erosion of family values and diminished sexual satisfaction.”

Sexual… callousness? Interesting choice of words there, but I digress.

Wait, no I don’t… pornography is better than fucking heroin or crack? Holy crap, someone alert the CIA that they’re importing the wrong shit, they should be bringing tentacle porn in by the plane-load to keep up with demand!

But seriously, earth to conservative congresscritters: You know the thing you hate most about liberals? How they try and make the whole world politically correct by taking away fun things like riding a bike without a helmet or playing with poisonous snakes in church? You know, things that could only hurt the idiots who do them?

Uh, pot meet kettle.

On a related note, Ralph Nader’s new book is out, titled “Civic Arousal.” No word yet if Congress will be funding research into why Nader has been beating off to pictures of riced out Hondas.

I've published HoT along with about 300+ friends since 2002. We're all Americans who are snarky and love our country. I'm a libertarian that registered Republican because I like to win elections. That's pretty much it.
