Michael Badnarik and David Cobb (Libertarian and Green Party, respectively) are asking for another shot at a recount in Ohio. There’s also a .
Badnarik and Cobb need to let it go. The recount in Ohio gained nil media attention (well, except for when Jesse Jackson got involved) and a second shot at it is destined to cause infinitely more harm than good for all parties when it’s all said and done. A comment over at Reason puts it best:
People in general don’t care about the specifics after a certain threshhold of time — instead they’re going to see “Green” and “Libertarian” and immediately dismiss both camps as instigators of futility. Whether the cause is noble or not, he should have at least made it clear he is not representing the party in this effort whatsoever.
And besides, who the hell wants to be arm-in-arm on any issue Jesse Jackson is pimping like a two-dollar ho?
