It’s OK: Things have Simply Slowed Down; Not Died

It’s August, which means all of our Congress-critters are off vacationing and aren’t passing bills. Hey, it’s a good thing.

Sure, there’s the odd ad about Kerry and some hooplah surrounding Bush’s supposed involvement in said ad, but it’s not really newsworthy in our opinion (well except for Bush’s call for obliterating 527s, which would likely create a Democrat/Republican-run oligopoly on political discourse). But for the most part, this is a rather uneventful month.

Until the RNC comes to NY, there isn’t a whole hell of a lot to be indignant about in the political world, so we’ve taken a little personal time for ourselves.

But don’t despair, we may be slowing down in our postings, but that just means we’re not burning ourselves out over frivolous shit. You could say it’s our act of recharging our batteries, getting ready for the big sprint to the November elections.

So kick back and have a beer and celebrate. Congress isn’t in session appropriating your hard earned money. Enjoy the Summer while it lasts.
