Goverwocky

JabberwockyThis is a humorous, if only half-assed spoof of Lewis Carroll’s Jabberwocky:

GOVERWOCKY
`Twas brillig, and the slithy democrats
Did gyre and gimble in the media;
All mimsy were the future sadats,
And the mome raths greedy, yah?

“Beware the Goverwock, my son!
The bills that bite, the flaws that catch!
Beware the neocon bird, and shun
The frumious Votersnatch!”

He took his votal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought —
So rested he by the .Com.com tree,
and stood awhile in thought.

And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Goverwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the legaly wood,
And burbled as it came!

One, two! One, two! And through and through
The votal booth went beeper-byet!
He left it dead, and with its exit poll
He went galumphing back to the Internet.

“And, has thou slain the Goverwock?
Nay ye hath failed, my beamish boy!
O shrubjous trash! Callooh! Callash!
He chortled ‘they will destroy!'”

`Twas brillig, and the slithy democrats
Did gyre and gimble in the media;
All mimsy were the future sadats,
And the mome raths greedy, yah?’
