Bush Campaign Theme: “We’ve Turned a Corner”

Now that the Kerry/Edwards campaign has finished with it’s nomination publicity, it’s going into hibernation for the month of August in order not to blow 75 million dollars of federal campaign funds on hair styling products. Meanwhile, Bush is campaigning hard in swing states, and has unveiled a new theme:

Bush’s new refrain during this time will be “we’ve turned a corner, and we’re not turning back,” Devenish said.

After walking in circles for the past three years, you’d think they’d recognize the same corners by now. Maybe they’re referring to the additional $445B federal budget deficit corner that they just turned. I wouldn’t look back at that either if I were in their shoes.
