Whoever is perceived most negatively on election day loses. Not knowing anything about a candidate is probably the worst negative of all of them.

Hell even Jefferson ran press against Adams saying he had a “hideous hermaphroditical character, which has neither the force and firmness of a man, nor the gentleness and sensibility of a woman.” Fun side note: HoT is named after James Thompson Callender’s moniker.

Kind of makes those calling Obama a “secret muslim” tame in comparison.
