This is ridiculous. Do you know how many people are going to write in Paul in states where he is not even on the ballot? More than half of Johnson's votes are going to come from Paul supporters. And so the libertarian position will be split. Paul must take the V.P. slot or we fail to galvanize libertarian support and demonstrate our numbers. If this does not occur during this election cycle the momentum will be buried. Without Paul in the campaign, Johnson will fare only a few points better than previous L.P. candidates. I for one, will be writing in Paul if he is not on the ticket with Johnson.

Eric care to back any of that up? I have followed Dr. Paul for quite a while and I see no similarities between your smattering and Dr. Paul's actual stance on what you claim is "virtually indistinguishable" then Barack's... I know Paul's stance can't be summed up in a sound byte which is a big problem for America's limited attention span, but take a moment and watch a youtube that goes into further detail to what the man actually says... Sorry it might be a few minutes of commentary but please try to keep your focus.

Gary Johnson is a far more appealing candidate than Ron Paul. To even consider replacing Johnson with Paul is absolute insanity. Paul's foreign policy views are off the maps extremist fringe. His views on foreign policy are virtualy indistinguishable from those of Barack Hussein Obama, Pelosi, Cindy Sheehan (Lew Rockwell's former girlfriend), Michael Moore, and the Council on American Islamic Relations. Paul sees no threat to America from Islamists. Like Obama, he'd be more than willing to cut deals with the Muslim Brotherhood to hand our country over to our Islamist enemies.
Gary Johnson is Pro-America. He's not quite as pro-military as pro-defense libertarians would like. But he recognizes that in certain instances we have to defend our country from foreign invaders. He's far more mainstream, and marketable as a candidate than Ron Paul.
