Libertarian News Mash-Up: 7/19

Balzac! There they go, again, those librarians. If it isn’t fighting censorship, it’s fighting for privacy and due process.

    from link:
New Jersey State Law requires that a subpoena is issued before library records are released to police. Nevertheless, the Mayor has harshly criticized her actions, reportedly saying that she displayed “a blatant disregard for the Police Department.” She could be formally reprimanded and subject to a 30-day unpaid suspension after a hearing next month.

    From http://www.hasbrouck-heights.nj.us/mc-min/mcindex.html :

    Mayor & Council Meetings
Second and Fourth Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m. at 320 Boulevard
The public is welcome to attend these meetings.

If any of you live near this place, go give the mayor a personal reprimand of your own. (This is assuming they allow public expression time like the city I live in does.)
